SQL Server Reporting Services

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SQL Server Reporting Services is a server based report generation environment developed by Microsoft. It is managed via web services and can deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports.

Reports are created as RDL files.

The standard report designer used to create RDL files is Microsoft's Visual Studio with the "Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Designers" "Product" (a kind of plug-in) installed.
