[edit] Characters

Bond Team is the team in which all the main characters reside, however there are four teams: Solo, Hannay, Palmer and Bond, all named after fictional spies - James Bond, Napoleon Solo, Richard Hannay and Harry Palmer respectively.

[edit] Bond Team of 2064

Hand-picked by Senior Tutor Elmore Grant.

Benjamin T. Stanton Jr. Codename: Benjamin White Region White

Benjamin Tiberius Stanton Jr. is the blue eyed and sometimes cocky leader of Bond Team. He has short cropped blonde hair, and was born in the United States to the wealthy Ben and Nancy Stanton, with no mentioned siblings. He is mentioned as Benjamin T Stanton III at some point. From this we can surmise his Grandfather on his Father's side is also called Ben, as well as his father. He is the heir to the Stanton fortune, which makes its money in a law firm, as referenced in Benjamin White. His birthday is in the final term (Soul Stealer is set entirely in the final term), so we can presume that his birthday is sometime between April and July. What's more, the events of Soul Stealer take place in the last month before examinations, which are likely in June, so it can be guessed that he was born sometime in May, though this is not for certain by any means.

He has the highest aggregate score since the advent of the college, and is Best in School after examinations. He remained Team Leader until midway through Soul Stealer, when he fought with Jake Daly, (who, along with Simon Macey, he shares a rivalry with) and lost leadership. He has had romantic relationhips with Lori Angel (books 1-5) and Calista Cross (Book 6-End). In the first book, while voting for Team Leader, he voted for Eddie Nelligan (partly as a joke, because Eddie was apparently an unfit leader, but Ben could not vote for himself). Later, after losing leadership, he votes for his ex-girlfriend, Lori.

His region, white, extends from Eastern Europa, including some former Soviet Satellites, all the way to the shores of the Pacific. His field handler and cover identity remain unmentioned. He is based in New Moscow, and is assigned to recover an Alien Device from Vlad Tepesch, who used minions to steal it from the moon as a weapon against the Western Powers. His mission objective is to get rid of the starstone, not to get rid of Tepesch, though he ends up resolving to do so anyway after witnessing how Wallachia is ruled by fear and opression. He fails to save Tolly Porter, a member of EXIST (a Deveraux suborganization created after the Diluvian incident, which specializes in examining extra terrestrial threats.) from suffocating after he runs out of oxygen.

He is known for getting at least one line in all 12 spy high books. His solo novel, Benjamin White, is the third in series 2. Ben "dies" at the end of Benjamin White, but in fact he is absorbed into the Starstone (An Alien Device) as alternative energy. He returns in Calista Green thanks to Adam Thornchild's matter converter machine - which, incidentally, saved Cally herself as she was about to be made into a cyborg. In Agent Orange, he is the joint-last to be pixellated and deleted from the system along with Jake. They were on the stairs going to Deveraux's rooms, and a shock blast nicks his arm at the same time a pulse blast grazes Jake's leg. They charge them as they become pixellated to give Bex more time.

Ben is focused, determined, smart, and possibly the best Spy in the books. He is fiercely competitive and at times arrogant, though this changes after The Soul Stealer (AKA Blood Relations).

Lori Angel Codename: Angel Blue Region Blue

Lori Angel is regarded as the Spy High series' Mary-Sue. Though she is a nice person, the general consensus is that she makes for a rather boring character. She has no known middle name, and has long blonde hair and blue eyes. Hair gets cut in Soul Stealer, but grown again for Annihlation Agenda. Parents names are unknown, but had a steady family according to an interview with authour A.J Butcher. She has no known siblings. (We know precious little about her family, though no younger brother or sister came to the graduation ceremony.) Birthday is never mentioned in the book, although it is listed on the website as January 3rd. The website says that she is Canadian, but the books never refute this. However, the files on the official website are notoriously ill-advised, as they also reference Ben has having One blue eye and one green eye, which is obviously false. Lori has the second highest aggregate score in the history of the college. Lori passes her examinations, probably second to Ben in exam results.

Lori is team leader for the second half of Soul Stealer, the entirety of Annihlation Agenda and the entirety of Series 2 where it is applicable. Her region, Blue, is on the West Coast of the United States, and preusmably some parts of South America. Her field handler is called Luanne "Shades" Carmody, who lost her eyes in the same mission Senior Tutor Grant lost his legs. Luanne now has substitute eyes in - one functions as a computer and radar, the other fires laser bolts. Her cover job is a Dance Instructor. Her cover identity is that of a partying surfer girl. She is based in Los Angeles, California. Her assignment is to prevent an assassination on President Graveney Westwood, which turns out to be orchestrated by the Judson siblings, who are instrumental in worldwide Arms manufacture and are also very rich. Nobody dies on her watch, though her boyfriend Robbie "Casino" Royal does get injured.

Lori is mentioned at least once in each book. Lori's book, Angel Blue, is the second in series 2. Lori has had relationships with Benjamin Stanton, Simon Macey (at the same time as Ben), Jake Daly, Various Surfer boys (She is dating a boy called Brad on the night she finds Simon Macey dead), and finally, Robbie "Casino" Royal. Lori leads the team in Jake Black and Agent Orange. Lori has no rivalries, save with villains and Simon Macey (after her fleeting relationship with him). Lori unanimously gains leadership after Ben loses it. Lori's family is not necessarily rich, but they are relatively well off. She casts her votes in the leadership polls (in chronological order) for Ben and Jake. She is the Third-last to die in Agent Orange, just before Ben and Jake. She is scratched by Modrussa in the cyber-warp which is in the catacombs under the Kraznova, seen in Benjamin White.

Jake Daly Codename: Jake Black Region Black(?) + Black Ops

Jake is angsty, though some like this character trait which gives him at least some depth. He has no known middle name. He has a tangle of black hair, and intense dark eyes. His parents names are George and Liza, and has a younger sister named Beth. His birthday is February 28th. He is American, born in the Midwest farming communities that are the domes. Jake is, at the very least, the third most effective spy in the team. Jake passes his examinations. Jake gains one vote in both team leader votes - the first is from Cally in Book One, the second in Book 5 from Lori. In Edward Red, it mentions one of the regions being Black, but later on in Jake Black, Deveraux uses the code name as a means of describing Jake's new role in Black ops. A plot hole that needs to be filled in. His field handler prior to his new role in Black Ops is never mentioned. He has no cover identity or job that is mentioned prior to his conversion to Black Ops. Where he is based is never mentioned, but it's speculated to be the east side of north America, or maybe South America. His assignment is the first and last assignment undertaken by the disastrous Black Ops division. Jake needs to kill Sicarius, leader of an apocalyptic terrorist group called the Bringers of the Night. This first involves his teammates thinking they have caught him and brought him in for mindwiping, then going undercover in Aquatraz prison to make contact with a caught Bringer called Null, who turns out to be Sicarius himself. At first it seems he allows a criminal to die after catching him, but it is an animate.

Despite murderous instincts, Jake never allows anybody to die, except Kim Tang who sacrifices herself for him, and Talon, the killer of Jennifer Chen, his first girlfriend, whom he attempted to save, but, after attempting to kill him, died anyway. Jake is mentioned at least once in each book. His book, Jake Black, is the Fifth and Penultimate book in Series 2. Jake has had relationships with Jennifer Chen and Lori Angel. He and Cally nearly go out, and he rejects a girl called Dark in Jake Black. Jake never leads the team, but demonstrates possible leadership qualities when he is not working with the leader at the time. Jake's rivalries are with Ben Stanton and Simon Macey, as well as the villains. Jake has lived in an impoverished background (the domes) until he was selected. He is quite poor. He casts his votes in the leadership polls (in chronological order) for Ben and Lori. He and Ben are the last to go in Agent Orange. A pulse blast nicks his leg, so he then charges the minions along with Ben...not before they resolve their differences.

Jennifer Chen Codename: none allocated

Jen shows a lot of potential for growth as a character, but unfortunately dies after only 2 and a half books. Jen has no known middle name. She has long dark hair and green eyes. Her parents names are not given, and she has a little brother named Shang. They are all killed by Talon for not paying protection...from his gang, the Serpents. This happens prior to the story. Her birthday not mentioned. She is Chinese-American. Born in undertown LA. She has the best martial artist in the history of Spy High. She gets killed before she can pass examinations. She does not gain a single vote in the one leadership poll she was alive for. Because she never graduated, she is never given a region colour. However, being replaced by Rebecca Deveraux, who was later allocated orange, would lead us to presume she would be Orange had she not been killed. She is not based anywhere except a coffin. Jen receives no assignment, being dead. Jen is mentioned in most books, though not all. She has no Series 2 book. Jen had a relationship with Jake when she died. Jen was never a leader. Jen never interacts with Macey enough to have a true rivalry with him. Her obvious big rivalry is with Talon. She isn't alive for the second poll, but her first vote went to Ben. In book 4, she is cloned and is alive again, but kills herself once she finds out, taking clone Averill Frankenstein with her.

Calista Cross Codename: Calista Green Region Green

Cally is a tough character, and seems to have some consistency throughout. She is regarded as very whiny in her book, Calista Green. However, her behaviour can be blamed on the apperent death of her boyfriend in his solo book, Benjamin White. She has no known middle name. She is an African-American, with her black hair in dreadlocks. She has green eyes. Her parents' names Coldby and Simone Lane. Her mother's maiden name is Halliday. "Cross" is a name she was given when a couple picked her off the street when she was a baby for a short while because there was a not stating her name as Calista with a cross on the bottom of it. Even the website does not specify her place of birth or birthday. She is the best computer hacker in the history of Spy High. Second best Sky-Biker after Eddie. Her field handler as of the events of Calista Green is Jimmy Kwan. Her field handler prior to the events of Calista Green and the "Shanghai Incident" (where she let terrorists get away) is Mei Ataki, who is never seen. Her supposed cover identity is to work in "The Shop", her base of operations. Based in Hong Kong. Her region covers a lot of Asia, including the whole of China. Her assignment is to investigate Thornchild industries, after Professor Werner Wagner gets killed. She cannot activate the Guardian Star's tractor beam in time to save Jen and Frankenstein in book 4 of series 1. Besides that, nobody dies except some Deveraux operatives who accompanied Kwan on her final showdown with Thornchild and the people who accompany her and Eddie to Touring IV. Cally gets mentioned in all the books. Her Series 2 book, Calista Green, is the fourth book in the series. Cally had a crush on Jake in book 1, series 1. She doesn't have a relationship with anybody save Ben, who she goes out with for the last 7 books of the series. She was never a leader, and has no rivalries to really speak of, except for the villans. Her votes for Team Leader (in chronological order) went to Jake and Lori. She is the first to go in Agent Orange. She steps on a metal plate near the temporal lobe of the villain's "brain", which runs her through with a laser bolt and pixelates her.

Edward Nelligan Codename: Edward Red Region Red

Eddie Nelligan acts largely as the Comic Relief, though in Edward Red he finally proves his worth as a spy. He has no known middle name. His hair is bright red. He is described as having a round face and being skinny. His Parents' names are not given. One is tall and thin (presumably his father), the other is short and plump (presumably his mother). He has no known siblings. Birthday is April 1st, April Fool's Day. Irish heritage, presumably born in Ireland. He is the Best Sky Biker in Spy High history. Under-18 European Sky Bike champion. Oahu Cup 2064 winner. Before Bex came along he was last in every other area of study. Passes Exams. Gains one vote from Ben in the first leadership vote by Ben, which is more tactical than anything. His field handler is Bowler. His cover job and identity is as a Sky Bike mechanic. Based in London. Camden Town, to be precise, and at the end of Ed Red, Westminster. His region is Europa/Europe. His assignment is to stop the Terrorist Group Albion from launching another strike, after they destroy the Channel Bridge. Ultimately, he has to stop Bartholomew Knight. He never lets anybody die if he is in a position to stop them. He allows Cally to be taken in book 2 series 1, but she isn't killed. Mentioned in all books. His Series 2 Book, Edward Red, is the first in Series 2. Eddie fancies everybody. He is especially in love with Bex. There's a hint of a relationship there at the end of AA, but it's gone by Edward Red. In Ed Red, he dates Bella (no last name given), Boudica Knight, and Rose Warwick. Never a leader, displays no leadership qualities. No rivalries, too nice a guy. Except with Frankie Garvey (who was quite similar to Ben). Although it appears that he is disliked by his teammates, it is apparent that they don't know what they would do without him. His votes went to Ben and Lori. Second to go in Agent Orange. Jumps in front of Bex to save her, and is shot by sleepshot from a holographic football player.

Rebecca "Bex" Deveraux Codename: Agent Orange Region Orange

While a weak agent, Bex Deveraux is a very strong person and second only to Eddie in terms of comedic value. No known middle name. Multicoloured hair, lots of piercings. Parents: Mother is dead. Father also thought to be dead, but is Jonathan Deveraux...and is therefore software. No known siblings. Born 3rd September 2048. American. Quite a weak agent, the worst, according to Ben's analysis of her in Book 4. Quick thinking and always as a laser stud handy. Passes Exams - 54% lowest, 88% highest. Aggregate is 70%. Doesn't gain any votes in Team Leader polls. Field handler is Anwar. No cover job or identity is supplied. She is based in Cairo, Egypt. She doesn't get an assignment per se. She has to take down her own father, since he is trying to turn the world into zombies. Never lets anybody "die". She is probably responsible for Eddie's pixellation, but he didn't die. Mentioned in all books, except for the first three, obviously, since she made her debut in book 4 as the late Jennifer's substitute. Her Series 2 Book, Agent Orange, is the last book in Series 2 and Spy High as a whole. Only has a brief affair with Eddie, but the relationship has disappeared by Edward Red, somehow. A fleeting relationship with Simon Macey, as well, but other than that there's nothing. Never a leader. With a little nurturing, has the potential thanks to her quick thinking qualities. Only rivalry is with Eddie for a little of Annihlation Agenda. And her father. She votes once, since she's not there for the first. She votes for Lori. She doesn't go at all in Agent Orange. She confronts and ultimately defeats her father.

[edit] Solo Team of 2064

Only two members are truly known, they are Simon Macey and Sonia Dark. In Chaos Connection Simon and Sonia are dating even though it looks at first Simon likes Lori, though this turns out to be a deception. There are 3 other members of Solo Team that are known only by last name - the final member remains unknown; they are Huxley, Johns, and Conrad.

Simon Macey Codename: Simon Grey

Simon is conniving and manipulative, though displays some decent qualities in both Angel Blue and The Chaos Connection. No known middle name. No description really given, except he has cold eyes, and is good-looking. Sneers a lot. Parents never mentioned. Presumably he has parents, since there is a reference to them in Paranoia Plot (besides, it's not really possible to exist without them, is it?). No known siblings. Birthday not mentioned, nor supplied by the website. Presumably American. A very good agent - can compete with Ben on the wall, at the very least. Passes exams, but loses a bet with Cally and Ben and has to run three times naked around the quad. Presumably gains at least two votes in team leader polls. Job allocated is grey. No field handler. He travels a lot. His job is to make sense of communications from around the world and help put a stop to any threats to it. His current assignment is to work out who is going to assassinate the president. He lets himself die, but nobody else. Mentioned in the entirety of Series 1, and Angel Blue in series 2. He doesn't have a series 2 book. He dies within 100 pages of Angel Blue. He has a relationship with Sonia Dark, which presumably ends after Chaos Connection when he uses her to prevent himself getting hit by the Stasis Bolts in Last Team standing. Very fleeting relationship with Bex and Lori. He's the leader of Solo Team for the entirety of the first series. Rivalries with Diana Judson, Benjamin Stanton, Jake Daly, and Lori Angel (post Chaos Connection). Never interacts enough with the other three Bond Originals to be really called a rivalry, and very fleetingly dates Bex. Presumably he votes for Sonia Dark, though we never find out. He's dead by the time Agent Orange comes around.

Sonia Dark Little is known about her, other than that she dates Simon Macey and is equally as nasty.

[edit] Other students

The members of Palmer and Hannay team of 2064 are completely unknown.

[edit] Kate Taylor

Created by Kate Harrison, winner of the Spy High hall of fame competition. Major role as a student in Agent Orange. She is taken over by Jonathan Deveraux, alias the Deliverer, and attempts to reveal the hiding location of Bond Team and several other teachers. She is later freed from Deveraux's control.

[edit] The world of Spy High

Naturally, spies would have very advanced technology, the technology of the world outside Spy High has advanced as well. Trains now run on light, computers have animated characters who speak with them, and many other things.
