SPV GmbH is an independent German record label founded in 1984 as a German (Deutsche) distributor of Roadrunner Records. It has slowly grown to be one of the largest independent distributors and record labels.
It also has several sublabels that it produces and distributes. These include metal label Steamhammer, Synthetic Symphony, Oblivion, SPV Recordings, Audiopharm, and progressive label Inside Out.
