[edit] About Me

I was originally born in Waterdown, Ontario, Canada, on May 28, 1985. I lived there and went to school there, moving to London, Ontario in March of 2004, when I was accepted to the University of Western Ontario, at King's College. After spending my first year at the affiliate college, I transfered to the main campus when I selected my major of Film-Cinema studies. As of today (Dec 9, 2006), I am currently still enrolled in that program, and look to graduate in April 2008 with an Honors BA of Film-Art.

[edit] Student Films

I have completed two films thus far in my University tenure - both shorts, and am working on a third (Wake Up). The other two are:

  • The Sturnich Conspiracy
  • Emperiled Hero

The Sturnich Conspiracy was largely a learning experience, and a technical disaster apart from the editing. The story revolved around a college student that became too involved with conspiracy theories, and eventually believes he's being pursued by government officials after he 'stumbles' upon a plot to test biological weapons on live subjects. Unfortunately, due to time constraints I had to cut out most of the plot and the film ended looking more like he was just an insane person then anyone genuinely onto something. It was rejected outright from the festivals it was submitted to.

Emperiled Hero was born, shot, and edited over the course of a one week period in the end of November, and screened in a University theatre screen in front of about 20-30 students on December 1st, 2006. The black-and-white silent film, clocking in at 4 minutes 49 seconds, revolved around a young woman coming home to find her boyfriend on the floor, dead, mouth stuffed with crackers. This sets her off into an adventure of trying to escape three murderous boxes of crackers. The film was largely a commentary on turn-of-the century filmmaker D.W. Griffith's films, satiring his rampant racism while attempting to mimick the style of filming he was involved in. More information can be found on the blog I maintain, http://legp.blogspot.com

[edit] Like Eating Glass Productions

This is my studio production company's name, which I create all my student films under. Both The Sturnich Conspiracy and Emperiled Hero were created under it, including a few other 1-minute films. The current production, Wake Up, is also under this studio name. The company name itself was conceived from a Bloc Party song, "Like Eating Glass".
