Gaia is in the alpha stage, and has many features, more are added as the administrators code them. Some signifigant tools and features are:

• Forum features such as an optional word filter, different post template graphics, and the ability to roll dice, or generate random numbers attached to posts.

• Social features include the ability to purchace private forums (and subforums), or guilds, with Gaia Gold, the ability to chat during games and in towns, journals, and the ability to comment on other's journals (and soon, profile).

• Art features include the Art Arena, the avatars themselves, as well as the customisable houses, and Going Postal(a display of Gaia fan art. It will also include avatar voting.

• Games so far include fishing, a casino, catching bugs, and cleaning litter in towns.

• Item collecting there are many items, some sold in stores, some traded in for items recieved in games, and a few only obtainable by random luck. Limited release items come from holiday events, as well as donating. These last items tend to rise in value, as the number of users grows, while the number of the items stays the same.
