Spotter

A spotter is someone trained to look for or "spot" something. The term has the following special meanings.
- Weather spotter
- Spotter (sniping), a member of a sniper team
- Spotter, an exercise partner who helps to ensure safety (see spotting)
- some sort of spy or informant for the British police force
- For example, "Casimir Pilenas" was "a spotter for Scotland Yard recruited to work among the Latvian terrorists."
