[edit] Dubious Innovations
Over the years, Sportsline has featured events not normally heard on conventional sports talk programming. Among these innovations are push up contests and elections to determine the rightful host of the show. The show has also featured debate games such as "That's a Lie" and "You're Out, Jerk!," a scored competitive banter game modeled after ESPN's Around the Horn. The inaugural "Sportsline Poker Showdown" was held during the Spring 2006 semester. Panelists played Texas Hold 'Em Poker to earn bragging rights.
