[edit] SWD316
Hi there Splintax, Im SWD316. Glad to here that you "learned" some new things after visting my user page. Although, it is sorta wierd that you like raping dogs and masturbating to midget porn, LOL. OK, later! SWD316 talk to me 22:59, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
Oh, I didnt know you're page was vandalized. Sorry, I didnt see that earlier. Oops, and I really thought you did that to dogs, silly me. SWD316 talk to me 01:03, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

thanks for the tip ;)
vandalism reverted
Hello again Splintax. I got your message. I think people know I have a user page because of the color of red my link is. I goes from light red to dark red, if you noticed. Also I got the answer to the questions you asked. Here they are:
1. Your edit count - You can easily find out your current edit count is on Wikipedia by clicking here. You have, as I write, 104 edits on Wikipedia. This links also tells you how many distinct pages you edited, time of first edit and how many edits you make per page. This link is known as Kate's Tool. I suggest putting it on your user page for future referance. Every time you make an edit, it counts it, and it organizes it into categories so others can easily identify what you have done too.
2. Your signature - This is tricky so I suggest you do it step-by-step so you can do it by yourself next time. So you can read this and change your signature at the same time I would open the Internet twice and switch back and forth.
Instructions:
First, at the top of any page your on, including this one, you'll see a link called Preferences. Next you will see many things on the screen. I pretty sure it automatically takes you to the part where you change your signature. The link you need open to do this is called User data. If not already, click on the link to open it. Next click at the top where it says Nickname. Type anything you want in there and when you go and type in the four ~~~~ it will read whatever you typed in plus the current time and date. Also in Preferences there are other things you can change, but thats how you can edit your signature.
OK, Splintax I think's that enough of the lectures for now. Contact me if you have any questions about it, LATER !!!! SWD316 talk to me 20:26, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
Hi there Splintax, Its me SWD316. I was wondering if kate's tool, the edit counter, was working on your computer. It isn't on mine. If your edit counter works do you mine telling me what my edit count is at? Thanks! SWD316 talk to me 17:53, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
Dear Splintax,
Hello, It’s SWD316. I have contacted you about me leaving Wikipedia. This is a decision I do not favor but there are too many vandals and thickheaded people on Wikipedia for me to care anymore. I feel there is nothing I can give on Wikipedia that someone won’t criticize. I don’t feel any appreciation for what I have done. I thought if I could make any kind of an impact, I would. I wrote this to you because I was going to contact the nicest users I had talked to over my period on Wikipedia. Thank you for making my stay on Wikipedia a little better. Youre becoming one the best editors on Wikipedia, keep up the good work. Also you can copy anything on my user page that you wanted. I am blanking most of it but you can see it in the history page if you want to. SWD316 talk to me
Hello Splintax, as I said to you a few days ago, I was going to leave Wikipedia. I have since then just decided to go on a Wikibreak until October 3rd so I can get myself and my life back together. I also talked like this to Phatcat68. I took into consideration what he said and what you said and I decided even though there are to many weirdos on Wikipedia, I have decided to stay. I still mean what I said a few days ago about you becoming one of the best. Keep it up.
Hi again Splintax, thought I would let you know I came back early from my Wikibreak. I cant stand being away from Wikipedia like this. Too many people wanted something from me when I went away. Sorry to be disturbing you with all these messages. SWD316 talk to me 23:00, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
Hi again. I went on Wikibreak because I have been on Wikipedia since July 10, 2005. I think a majority, about 85%, of my time was spent on Wikipedia. I love Wikipedia, but, I thought about all the things I had been missing out on by being here. I have missed a lot of time with my family, friends and a wide range of everything else by being here. All I needed was about 3 weeks to get myself together again, but it turned out all I needed was 5 days. Thanks for responding. Later! SWD316 talk to me 20:01, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] DES
As I understand it, the warning is not to include template calls in your sig text, which would be transcluded every time you signed a page. It doesn't look like you are doing that. By the way, the your current sig is a bit long on the rendered page. How about ommitting "timestamp", as it is pretty clear that this is a timestamp? DES (talk) 16:45, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

Hi there, from another West Australian. Welcome here. I saw your edit to wikipedia:typo, and I like what you are doing to clean up pages needing attention. Just one thing though: could you only archive your talk page when there are many comments (my rule is over a thousand lines of text or about 6 months worth), or provide a reason for doing so here? It makes it look like you have something to hide by not making all the text on your talk page immediately visible to others. Thanks. Graham 10:45, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
- Hey Graham. Thanks for your comment. In regard to your question on archiving user-page discussions.. I personally feel that having 'something to hide' is a non-issue. Anyone can edit this page and although this will be visible in the history, 99% of users are unlikely to look at it (excluding me of course). If I really did have something to hide, I would delete it off the page completely, or somebody else could have interfered with the page.
- I think that the way I'm managing my archive is decent enough - archive after the discussion is over. The reason for this is that most people are not interested in the discussions I have with other people - and if they were, they could view it in the archive. I also feel that a 'clean' user talk page indicates that I read it frequently, or at least that the user's comment will be obvious to me and I'm not going to miss it.
- Oh, and also - about my modification to that page - I just recently signed my name onto the typo department, as I believe that correct spelling and grammar are essential to Wikipedia gaining any sort of respect or credence. Also, I like to think I have a pretty good grasp of it :-)
-
- I was born 15 weeks premature, and therefore developed retinopathy of prematurity. My retina was completely detached, and therefore I became totally blind.
-
- As for using a computer, I can use a QWERTY keyboard normally, and I know where all the keys are. I use a screen reader, which speaks all the information on a screen in a format optimised for listening. It uses the document object model to get information about links, headings, frames, ETC in internet explorer, and makes it so I can read most webpages at the same speed, or sometimes faster than, sighted people with a mouse. You can find some samples here, of the synthesizer I use, Eloquence.
-
- For school, I use a machine called a braille companion, which is a dos-based laptop with a braille keyboard. With that, each key represents a braille dot, and I type the keys in combination to get the letters I want.
-
- I don't mind the questions at all, in fact I like them. The more people learn about technology for the blind, the more it is accepted in the community. As long as you don't ask "how many fingers am I holding up?" :p
-
- I also believe that wikipedia should have high standards for spelling and grammar, which is why I joined the typo team. I also wrote some thoughts on this on user talk:Ground Zero #Thanks, about the use of commas in wikipedia. Graham 03:44, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

Ah, thank you. Though, one of my friends suggested I change it because it's confusing. Hmm... I don't know. Anyway, I like yours too. :P It's a perfect blend. Acetic'Acid 23:02, September 12, 2005 (UTC)

Hi Splintax,
You are doing a great job. A large number of the articles have already been repaired; it is kind of annoying but at least it does making go through the list really quick. Unfortunately some bugs made it through in this cleanup project; future ones should go a little more smooth. Thanks for your help and have fun! :-) Triddle 01:34, September 13, 2005 (UTC)
Oh...I completely forgot about that. *blink blink* I signed it and meant to come back but never did...you can have it if you like. =) [[User:Premeditated Chaos|User:Premeditated Chaos/Sig]] 23:23, 15 September 2005 (UTC)
