[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Leeb.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Leeb.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. von Leeb only died in 1956 and is not too young on the picture. We need prove that the photographer died before 1936. Wikipeder 13:39, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Physics Article WIP proposal

Hello, as an editor who has previously added to the Physics article and taken part in discussions on its talk page I thought a current proposal may be of interest to you. Over the past few months the article has suffered from a lack of focus and direction. Unfortunately the article is now judged by a number of editors to be in a relatively poor state. There is currently a proposal to start a full consensus based review of the article. That review and consensus process has been proposed here, your thoughts on the proposal and participation in the WIP review of the article would be much appreciated. It disappoints me that an article on one of the fundamental sciences here at wikipedia is in such a relatively poor state, and I hope you can have a browse by the page to offer your views and hopefully participate. [edit] wikEd

The wikEdlogo

Hi, I have seen that you are using the Cacycle editor extension. This program is no longer actively maintained in favor of its much more powerful successor wikEd.

wikEd has all the functionality of the old editor plus: • syntax highlighting • nifty image buttons • more fixing buttons • paste formatted text from Word or web pages • convert the formatted text into wikicode • adjust the font size • and much, much more.

Switching to wikEd is easy, check the detailed installation description on its project homepage. Often it is as simple as changing every occurrence of editor.js into wikEd.js on your User:YourUsername/monobook.js page.

[edit] Image:Soda bubbles macro.jpg

Hi, I really like this image. I wanted to do something like this, are there any special considerations I should make? I have a Canon PowerShot S3 IS that has a wonderfull macro mode. This is the plan I had in mind:

  1. Setup tripod and glass
  2. Place an object in the empty glass near the edge as a focus guide and focus
  3. Add a light
  4. Set the shutterspeed high, adjust aperature for large depth of field(this needs alot of light I know)
  5. Pour the cola
  6. Snap images as fast as I can

I am wondering if I am missing anything? Do you have any advice for the angles of the light(s)? Do you think a clear beverage or a cola type beverage would be better? Thanks for the help. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 22:13, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
