I live in Illinois, USA, where I work at a state government agency. I have been interested in Wikipedia since June 2004, and a contributor since September 2005a. My other contributions have been on Climate Audit, RealClimate, Environmental News Network (forum currently closed), and Abelog (a local radio talk show).

[edit] Advice
- Be wary of insurance companies. One auto insurance company tried to lay partial blame on me for running a green light when their client ran a red light and totalled my car.
- If you run 500 miles over 6 months training for a marathon, use something more sturdy than the plastic tie they give you to affix your electronic chip.
- Donate blood, regularly.
- Be a Gas Buddy!

[edit] Footnotes
Note a: My wife wants to find a Wikiholics Anonymous group (WikiAnon?).
Note b: Currently using a 3-inch, f/9.2 Bushnell Nova reflector with 20mm, 10mm, and 6.3mm eyepieces.
Note c: I've recorded over 3000 individuals, so far.
Note d: My training profile (as of May 28, 2006) is:
y = 0.0005x4 - 0.016x3 + 0.196x2 - 0.838x + 9.35 (R2 = 0.85)
where y = min/mile and x = mile (1-14). No, it's not linear. For short runs, I'm either not feeling good, hence the short run, or I don't have time to get up to speed. And yes, I do have too much time on my hands.
