Spitballs/Popcorn Pandemonium was the seventh episode of the first season of the Animated Television series Rocko's Modern Life.

Rocko plays catch in his front yard with Heffer. Rocko's prize foul-ball lands in Mr. Bighead's yard, who promptly destroys it. Heff suggests they go to a ball game so Rocko can try to get another foul ball. They buy their tickets from a shady dealer and end up sitting on a light fixture. They find two empty seats in the front row and sneak down. As the game goes on, Rocko fails to get a foul ball. Everyone in the stands simultaneously leaves the ball park, leaving Heff and Rocko as the lone attendants. An employee forces the two to return to their original seats. Rocko and Heff leave their seats to go home, when a ball is soaring up to where they just were. The ball bounces off the seats and is heading back onto the field. Rocko catches the ball at the last second. Shortly after, a little boy asks for the ball. Rocko ends up deciding to give it to him. Rocko later says he was glad to make that kid's day, thinking he will cherish the ball for a long time. We then see the kid ripping the ball open and tearing it apart.

Rocko and Heffer simulate going to a drive-in movie theater by watching Mr. Bighead's TV through his front window while sitting in Rocko's car parked in his driveway. Heffer's remote control interferes with Bighead's viewing and his set ends up exploding. Heff then suggests they go to the "Google-Plex Cinema". The two run into numerous problems when they get there. Heff is caught smuggling snacks into the theater. Then they wait in a very long line at the concession stand. After, they mistake a restroom for a theater. When Heff and Rocko enter their theater, Rocko is heckled by a boy who is accusing him of stealing his gum which he accidentally walked upon. Heff and Rocko decide to try another theater since they can't see the screen. The second one is very small and their view is totally blocked by a huge elephant. They try yet another theater. Rocko sits next to a disgusting baby which forces him to switch theaters again. As he is leaving, a fat woman mistakes him for an usher and forces him to deal with a warthog who is smoking. A timid Rocko is then seen being hurled out of the theater, following the smoking warthog by the fat woman. Heff drags Rocko into the next theater. The screen is out of focus and the customers complain. Filburt, who was then a nameless character, is running the projector. He leans through the projection window to get a closer look and bangs his head, dropping his glasses in front of the lens, causing the screen to catch fire. Everyone but Rocko thinks it's special effects. The fire spreads to a popcorn storage room and the whole building is flooded with popcorn. Rocko and Heff escape just before the building breaks open. They get to enjoy the movie in their car, surrounded by popcorn...until Filbert messes the focus up.
