Spike, known in Japan as Kakeru, is the fictional protagonist of the Ape Escape, Ape Escape: On The Loose, Ape Escape: Pumped and Primed and Ape Escape Million Monkeys video games.

Spike (Kakeru) stands 135 cm tall and weighs 32 kg.

Spike is also seen racing his best friend Jake (Hiroki in the Japanese version), who is also a "rival" to Spike. He has an 11-year-old cousin, Jimmy, who appears in Ape Escape 2.
