Spijk (Lingewaal)

Spijk (51°51′N 5°1′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Lingewaal, and lies about 3 km northeast of Gorinchem.

In 2001, the town of Spijk had 413 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.093 km2, and contained 158 residences.[1] The statistical area "Spijk", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 980.[2]
