[edit] City lists
Hi & welcome to Wikipedia. I have a question about the edits you made on the lists of cities. I think the previous version was better because the largest cities were numbered and everyone could see at first blink where does a certain city stand in the order. Also, the list of the smaller towns now makes the page extremely long. Was there some discussion on WP about how should the city listings look? If not, please reconsider your edits 'cause they made the page more diffidult to use. regards, Alensha 17:02, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Alensha. Thank you for your message. My reasoning was based on a statistical analysis of similar wikipedia pages, that is 198 city listings. The overwhelming majority is laid out in this fashion. I believe that adopting a template and generalizing it to similar content pages is a good practice and contributes to the visual coherence of wikipedia. Nevertheless, I am open to any discussion in this regard. Best regards. Sphinxx 18:31, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
