Speed Metal Symphony is the debut album of speed metal band Cacophony released in 1987 (see 1987 in music) on Shrapnel Records.
Quote from Jason Becker's site:"This CD is chock-full of aggressive harmonies and weird counterpoint and polyphony. This was my first CD. I was seventeen. I learned so much from Marty and Atma, the drummer. I was very good, but they opened me wide."
