Specials (novel)

Specials is the third and final novel in the Uglies trilogy. Written by Scott Westerfeld, it continues the story of protagonist Tally Youngblood, who becomes a member of "Special Circumstances" from New Pretty Town. Specials have razor sharp teeth, nails that can break skin, eyes with super vision, and they are self healing. Tally is a cutter, or a special special meant to live in the wild.

In this novel Tally is a Special and her looks have dramatically changed. The Smoke is increasing and the cure is being spread around the world. In this book Tally makes no mistakes and pushes Zane close, once she sees what the cure did to him.(It made him nervous and shakey,she felt like it was another Zane.) She tries to go back to the Smoke by following Zane and Periss. When she reaches her date she is enthralled about what had happened to her face.
