From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Special Organisation (in French: Organisation Spéciale) was a paramilitary organisation in colonial Algeria, set-up at the convention of MTLD in 1947 to ensure national liberation. OS had around 1500 to 2000 members at its peak.

OS was dismantled in 1951. Only the units in Aurès and Kabylia remained active at the time.
