Sparkman High School

Sparkman High School, named after John Sparkman, is located in Harvest, Alabama. Sparkman is the largest and richest school in Northern Alabama and serves 10-12 grade students. The school's mascot is a Senator. The school has an enrollment of over 2,300 students. Sparkman is part of the Madison County School System. As of 2006, the current school principal is Mr. Manuel Wallace. Across the street is the Sparkman Ninth Grade School.

Sparkman was once located in Toney, which is now Sparkman Middle School. Now located on Jeff Road, the current high school building was built in 1998 it is two stories tall. And has art rooms, a media center, two gyms, a photostudio where students can have film developed, drama rooms, a choir room, band rooms, musical theatre classes, etc. In 2001 additional rooms were built to accommodate the overcrowding. The high school is also part of the Sparkman 9th Grade School, which is across the main high school. Sparkman 9 opened in 2006. There are currently 850 freshman at Sparkman 9, Sparkman High has over 1,700+ at the 10-12th building.
