Spargus City

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spargus is a fictional city from the game Jak 3, the 3rd in the Jak & Daxter game series. It was set up by the people banished from Haven city. The city stands in a desert wasteland and society there revolves around bravery and strength. The people go out into the desert to retrieve artifacts.

The city has 2 main areas and in which there are buildings and between these is a mountain into which is carved a tunnel and above that is the Spargus palace. Also carved into the mountain is the arena, the city had a wall around it which protected the people not only from the large Metal Heads which roam freely in the wasteland but also from the large sand storms which frequently blow across the desert, at one point the wall breaks into 2 walls which form a vaguely oval shaped section which was accsessable from the inside of the city in which all the cities wasteland verhicles are stored behind the large 3 layer metal gate to the wasteland. There is also a large gun aiming out to sea which the people used for target practice When the people arrive in Spargus they have a life debt and have to win 3 fights in the arena to win citizenship.

Unlike Haven city which has a definite street plan and definite sections, Spargus City is just an area of flat ground behind the wall and the clifs and on the beach in one place with buildings dotted around randomly.

When Jak arrives in Spargus in Jak 3 he is treated like a life debter. King Damas is the ruler of Spargus and does not realise that Jak is his long lost son.
