Spanish-Canadian

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Spanish-Canadian describes a Canadian person of Spanish descent, either an immigrant directly from Spain or a person born in Canada to Spanish parents or ancestors.

Sometimes, Spanish-Canadians are confused with Latin American immigrants, especially those from Mexico, Argentina, Chile or Puerto Rico. The confusion is due to the fact that most of Hispanic America's people have Spanish ancestry and speak Spanish.

The estimated population of Spanish Canadians is about 213,105, and they are concentrated in Spanish enclaves in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.
