The Space Operations Communicator is a peer-reviewed, technical journal published quarterly by Space Operations and Support, a technical committee within the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and by the International Committee on Technical Interchange for Space Mission Operations and Ground Data Systems (SpaceOps Organization). It is intended to serve as a forum for practitioners and researchers to exchange ideas and results for the advancement of space operations. In addition, opinion pieces and book reviews are also welcome. The Communicator also carries a department called The Pioneers, which presents interviews with notable people in space exploration and colonization programs.
A central theme of this journal is the technology and methods of space operations. The journal publishes papers in original research and surveys in the areas of new technology, technology trends, operations procedures and practices, human factors, the space environment, standards, space policy/law, communications, manufacturing and latest findings.
