[edit] Image copyright

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for the edits you have done, and the images you have contributed. But please provide information on the copyright status of these images. The best way to do this is to specify the source and add an image copyright tag. If they are your own photos you can release them under a free license, eg. the GFDL or an appropriate Creative Commons licence (you may also want to upload them to the Wikimedia Commons).

If the pictures are from elsewhere (eg a website) please check the copyright status (it may be possible to use them under fair use). See Wikipedia:Image use policy for more details. Thank you, Vclaw 00:21, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Server.jpg has been listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Server.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

[edit] Qube

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Qube, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/Systems/Cobalt/documents/datasheet-Qube3.pdf, and therefore a copyright violation. Qube has been nominated for deletion.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GFDL, you can comment to that effect on Talk:Qube. Then you should do one of the following:

  • Make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL at the site of the original publication.
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation.

If the article has already been deleted, but you have a proper release, you can reenter the content at Qube, after describing the release on the talk page. However, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! Royce 15:10, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
