Southwest Airlines destinations
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a list of destinations that Southwest Airlines currently serves (As of December, 2006). Also included is a list of codeshare destinations operated by ATA Airlines. Currently, Southwest Airlines operates solely throughout the United States. Noteworthy is that instead of flying to the principal airport in some larger cities (most notably Houston, Dallas, New York and Chicago), Southwest chooses to use secondary airports or cities to avoid higher landing fees and congestion. The savings are then passed along to the consumer. This practice allows lower fares while gaining access to a high-demand destination.
