Southington Township, Ohio

Southington Township is a rural township in Trumbull County, Ohio. It lies just west of Warren, Ohio. It celebrated its bicentennial in August 2005.

Southington Township is bordered by Warren, Champion, Bristolville, Parkman, and Braceville. The town of Southington is located at the intersection of State Routes 534 and 305.

Students in Southington go to Southington Local Schools. It is comprised of Southington Elementary, Southington Middle, and Chalker High schools. The elementary, middle, and high schools are all on the same campus.

[edit] Founders Day Celebration

The Southington Bicentennial Committee held a week long celebration August 12-14 2005. Events included a parade, time capsule opening, open air market, sit down potluck dinner, kids games, music, weddings, and church services.
