Southern Xiongnu
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Southern Xiongnu was a secession that existed from 48 CE in opposition to the Northwestern Xiongnu. Culturally they were much closer to China. It is thought that its founders were of the same Hunnic peoples that would later give rise to the Hephthlites[citation needed].
