Southern Hummingbird is the debut album of American R&B and soul singer Tweet. The album was released on April 2, and it surprisingly debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 album charts and was certified Gold, preceeded by #1 R&B lead single "Oops (Oh My)".
The album featured production by überproducer Timbaland (who contributed four tracks), Craig Brockman & Nisan Stewart, guitarist John "Jubu" Smith, and Tweet herself. It also featured guest vocals by Elliott, Bilal, BeatClub Record's Ms. Jade and featured a bonus new track from Elliott "Big Spender".
The album was filled with soul stirring vocals and lyrics taken from Tweet's own life experiences, some of which were at the time written on napkins.
After the successful lead single, the album spwanned another two, the Timbaland produced "Call Me" and the radio single "Smoking Cigarettes", which had a video shot for it and directed by Little X but was never released.

"Smoking Cigarettes" b/w "Boogie 2Nite"
Released 2003
Writer(s) Charlene Keys / Charlene Keys
Producer(s) Charlene "Tweet" Keys / Jubu & Nisan
Video director Little X
"Smoking Cigarettes" b/w "Boogie 2Nite" was last release from Tweet's debut album. However, it finally wasn't released as an official single, due to problems undergoing with her label, Elektra Records. "Smoking Cigarettes" was intended to be the commercial single, even a video was shot for it -being directed by Little X- but it has never seen the light of day, not as some captures from the videoshoot that certify it happened. The funky "Boogie 2Nite" was later added to the release. Both songs got little radio airplay. "Boogie 2Nite" went on to become a club hit in the UK in the guise of various house remixes. Due to the club success (and lack of an official UK release in that form) the house remixes have been exactly covered and released under the name of "Booty Luv" (vocalists Nadia & Cherise from UK act Big Brovaz) reaching number 2 in the UK Charts in December 2006.
