South Park, Colorado
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
South Park, Colorado is the fictitious town that is the setting of the animated television series of the same name, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The town is inspired by South Park, a geographical area of approximately 1000 square miles which is a high-altitude intermontane basin in Park County, Colorado.
This fictitious town has several obvious inspirations in the actual state of Colorado in the USA:
- South Park City, an outdoor old-west museum located in Fairplay, Colorado
- Fairplay itself, the county seat of Park County and the principal town in the geographical area called South Park
- Conifer, Colorado, an unincorporated mountain community which is the boyhood home of Trey Parker.
- Evergreen, Colorado, an unincorporated mountain community where Trey Parker attended high school.
- Littleton, Colorado, a Denver suburb which is the boyhood home of Matt Stone.
