South Lake Union Park

South Lake Union Park is a 12 acre park located at the south end of Lake Union in Seattle, Washington, approximately across the lake from the slightly larger Gas Works Park. The property was transferred from the United States Navy to the City of Seattle on July 1, 2000. On the property is the former Naval Reserve Building which can be rented for events of up to 1,150 people.
This park hosts several historic vessels, including the schooner Wawona, the tug Arthur Foss, the fireboat Duwamish, the lightship Swiftsure, and the steamer Virginia V. The main building on the park is known as the "Armory" or the "Naval Reserve Building," and it serves as a community center and offices for the owners of the historic vessels and several other organizations.
The non-profit Center for Wooden Boats is located next to the park.
