South Division High School is a multicultural high school that serves to the community not only as an educational stepping stone for the students but also for the extended family as well. South has a day care for the students who have decided to start their family off early, and GED programs as well.
There are many different "family's" inside of South Division that specialize in different needs like the CYBER FAMILY is specializes in computers and other technology training for the future.
There are sports for everybody! From football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, softball, baseball, track, wrestling, tennis to volleyball. There are clubs from the letterwinner society, newspaper, yearbook, latino club, art club, etc. South Division is not only multicultural from the view of race, but multicultural of the ways of life. The school is just busting at the seems of different ways each culture celebrates it's ways.
"South Division not only helped me become the person I am today but it helped me realize the person I wanted to be. From being the captain of the cheerleading squad to editor of the newspaper and yearbook, South Division helped me reach beyond the expected and helped me get a well rounded education and a well rounded view on life," Said Chelsea H. a South Division graduate of 2004.
"South Division is a great way to become ready for the real world; Because South is the only high school that has no cliques. The lunch room had football players and artists sitting at the same table just hanging out. and i think that is the best for getting ready for the real world because you learn to be soically acceptable for everykind of person," said Jose Rosas (South Division Graduate of 2004)
