South Carolina Highway 707

South Carolina Highway 707 is a route in Horry County, South Carolina in the Myrtle Beach metro area that starts from U.S. Highway 17 Bypass across from Farrow Parkway or the "Back Gate" near Socastee and ends at U.S. Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet.

This road used to be South Carolina Highway 544 in the late '70s It used to be a cow path for the Collins Creek and Burgess farms. There were only farms on this highway until the 1980s when they created South Carolina Highway 544 from U.S. Highway 17 to Socastee. Then the road was paved and it is was now known as South Carolina Highway 707. Then they built communities, golf courses and neighborhoods. It is now known as one of the worst and baddest highways in South Carolina.

The SCDOT decided to widen the highway in Horry County from Enterprise Road to Horry County - Georgetown County line do to all the new subdivisions and communities on Highway 707.
