South Bromsgrove High School

[edit] Introduction

South Bromsgrove High School is a High School/Sixth Form Centre of specialist Language and Technology College status, located on Charford Road in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. The School caters for GCSE, GNVQ and A level students from an area between Alvechurch and Droitwich Spa. The current headteacher is Paul Copeland, displacing Philip McTague in 2006. The School boasts some of the highest attaining students in the area, for both GCSE and A level students, some of which can be seen on the school's website.

A new set of buildings, construction started at the beginning of 2006, are being built as part of a Private Finance Initiative, to accommodate the increasing number of students. Handover of the new school is expected on the 20th of August 2007 and so should be in use by the start of the academic year of 2007 (September 2007).
