[edit] History
Source Technologies was founded in 1986 by Miles Busby in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the early 1990s, Source Technologies formed an alliance with Lexmark to provide secure MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) printers. In 1997 Lexmark took on Source Technologies as its exclusive MICR provider which led to another exclusive MICR agreement with IBM.
In 1998 Source Technologies developed its first transactional self-service kiosk. At the 6th annual Kiosk Awards in October of 2005, Source Technologies’ concourse BillPay kiosk took First Place in the Best Financial Kiosk category.
