Sound Asleep EP was the second EP released by Evanescence. Released at a show in 1999 with help from BigWig Enterprises, it was a CD-R in an unmarked jewel case, sometimes signed by Lee and Moody. It is very rare, as only fifty copies were made. Sound Asleep reportedly contains the last recording the band will release of the song "Understanding".
