[edit] Plot synopsis
Londo Mollari brings his three wives, all of whom barely tolerate him, to the station for the purpose of divorcing two of them as part of a special request.
As it turns out, the one that was most outwardly affectionate to Londo, Mariel, plotted to murder him and nearly succeeded. Only the intervention of Londo's most shrewish wife, Timov, saved him when she volunteered for a vital blood transfusion on the condition that Londo is not told of this act of generosity.
As it turns out, Londo chose Timov to be his remaining wife despite being unaware of her saving his life. He explained that while she might be unpleasant company, he respected her honesty about her opinion of him. For her part, she found that admission of respect secretly charming.
