Soul Assassins

Taking a break from producing for popular rap groups Cypress Hill and House of Pain, seminal West Coast producer DJ Muggs decided to go "solo"; starting the Soul Assassins was his own way of doing it.

Because he doesn't rap, Muggs put out albums entirely produced by himself and the Alchemist (2 so far), featuring a slew of affiliated rappers, and slapped the DJ Muggs Presents...Soul Assassins title on them. The result is something of a Muggs solo album, but also can be considered a group album--simply spanning a very large group.
