the Soul's Darkside is a often used saying towards those who have a part of themselves they cannot control or is considered evil. It can also be determinded by when a person has reached "blind rage" and cannot control there actions as coherrantly as they would in thier normal state of mind. Also when a person is incapacitated (drunk) there other being takes form causing unstable actions that would be considered an act of bellevolence to a normal person.

Often enough when a person speaks of their darkside they refer to a different person. The line "that was not me the other night it was the darkside of my soul out and about". This shows the person was aware they were doing wrong but couldn't control their actions. Also sometimes they see the other person they talk about when there alone or when they are asleep.

Often enough these people speak of their constant battle to regain control against their darkside. But often enough the guilt they receive and pain envitably destroys a persons mind thus the darkside wins. It is often said that they are diagnosed with spilt personality and its nearly always right.
