South Carolina Railroad Fare Ticket, Denomination "5", good for 125 miles of travel on the line. In practice widely accepted as a five dollar note. Notes in circulation and not redeemed as travel were in effect an interest free loan to the railroad. SCRR / American Bank Note Company, 1873.
