IMDb profile |
Sorted is a BBC television drama series, first broadcast in 2006, and transmitted on BBC One and BBC HD. It was created by Danny Brocklehurst, who has also written for Clocking Off and Shameless.
The series, set in Manchester but filmed in Stockport, follows the lives of several postmen and stars Neil Dudgeon, Will Mellor and Hugo Speer. The name of the series has a double meaning - postal workers 'sort' mail for delivery and "sorted" is common slang word for approval used in Manchester.
Its theme tune is Bang Bang You're Dead by Dirty Pretty Things.
The Observer described it as 'reminiscent of Clocking Off at it's best'. The Guardian called it 'Danny Brocklehurst's down and dirty drama' and The Times praised it with the phrase 'it delivers.'
The series attracted over five million viewers during summer 2006.
Writer Brocklehurst is now working on a Miramax film about the Fathers 4 Justice movement.
