"Sorry 2004" was the first newly-released single from American R&B singer Ruben Studdard's late 2003 album Soulful. A gentle, apologetic ballad that worked the year of most of its airplay into its lyric, it was found R&B/pop crossover appeal, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart.
