Sophia Frederica of Mecklenburg-Schwerin

Sophia Frederica of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (24 August 1758 — 29 November 1794), in Danish Sophie Frederikke of Mecklenburg, was a Princess and Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
She was the daughter of Louis of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Charlotte Sophie, Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld (1731-1810).
She married Hereditary Prince Frederick of Denmark and Norway, the son of King Frederick V of Denmark.
Sophia Frederica and Prince Frederick had the following surviving children:
- Hereditary Prince Christian Frederick (1786-1848), 1814-1814 King of Norway and later, 1839-49 King of Denmark (Christian VIII). He had an only child, the future Frederick VII of Denmark (d 1863) with whom the line went extinct.
- Hereditary Prince Frederik (1792-1863), childless
- Juliana Sophie (1788-1850), married Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld
- Louise Charlotte (1789-1864), married Landgrave of Hesse-Cassel.
