[edit] Style on "trainer's Pokémon" sections
I noticed you added a table to Ash Ketchum#Ash's Pokémon, and, while I like the idea of reforming those horrid bulleted lists of Pokémon, I'm not sure a table is really that much better, visually. Have you seen what A Link to the Past was doing in Team Rocket#Jessie and James' Pokémon? Something about that style of chronological paragraphs with alternating anchor images seems to me to be somehow more encyclopedic than bulleted lists or tables.
I'm still of two minds on this one, though; any thoughts? - A Man In Black (Talk | Contribs) 05:58, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Paragraphs are more encyclopedic, but the Pokémon that they own needs to be made clear. My idea has the same goal, to be more encyclopedic, but the only difference is that the text is just in a table. It's an improvement on before, and it looks nicer than my earlier work, such as on Brock's article. Team Rocket certainly looks good, but my main issue is that it fails to make all the Pokémon clear at a glance - something that the unencyclopedic lists did do right.
- I think I'll put this on Talk:Team Rocket. Sonic Mew | talk to me 06:22, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, an congrats on becoming a sysop! Sonic Mew | talk to me 06:22, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

-
- Thank you very much!
- As for quick reference, why not just make sure each paragraph has effective topic sentences, mentioning the major Pokémon? I don't see any reason anyone would ever need to see at a glance that Ash had a Beedrill, Mankey, or Raticate, as all of them were one- or two-ep appearances, and the major ones can be emphasized, with images (with captions, the lack of which is problem with Team Rocket) and prominent mentions. - A Man In Black (Talk | Contribs) 06:36, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
-
-
-
- While we're talking about reference, I really think chronological order or split by saga might be a better idea for Ash Ketchum (and other articles, for that matter). It'd be more useful for reference to gain context when someone is watching the anime; older episodes are in rotation (or even in first run) in many places. - A Man In Black (Talk | Contribs) 06:38, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
-
I saw this diff, and now I'm sure a chronological rewrite is necessary. I picked an episode at random from Serebii, and looked at the article as if I wanted to get some context on Ash's team, and what may have happened to the Pokémon I remember him having in previous eps.
I had to keep flipping back and forth, trying to figure out what happened when. I'm still not entirely sure about format, but the order really needs to be chronological, in the style of a biographical entry.
I could take a crack at it (without really changing the prose or format more than necessary), or you could. Either way, I don't think it's a useful reference right now. - A Man In Black (Talk | Contribs) 07:02, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Wordsearch.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Wordsearch.gif. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Secretlondon 08:38, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Did you mean to revert Pokémon Chronicles?
I rewrite Pokémon Chronicles#Episode list, but then you reverted it back with the {{inuse}} template at the top of the article. I think you just had an edit window open from before my rewrite of that section, as you made no mention of a revert in the edit summary. If you were reverting intentionally instead of by accident, that's okay, but why? Planning on redoing it yourself, or...?
Just wanted to make sure we were both on the same page, so to speak. - A Man In Black (conspire | past ops) 18:00, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Final Fantasy N64 AfD
Sonic Mew, I noticed your vote over the Final Fantasy N64 articles for deletion vote. I wasn't sure if you were aware of this, but the article in question is actually redundant. The original article, Final Fantasy SGI demo, has been around for a number of months, and is better cited and researched (IMO, of course). I was wondering if I could ask you to consider changing your "keep" vote to "merge" (or "redirect," even) in light of this? If not, I apologize for bothering you. – Seancdaug 02:43, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Pikachu the movie 5th logo
- Ok, I'm interested in the 'Pikachu the Movie' icons, and the only one I have trouble finding is the 5th one, is their a way to capture an image from Real Player, Quick time, etc... Or if someone has a DVD of 'Pokemon heroes' and play it on the computer there might be a way to copy the logo with the 'image capture'?? Thanks
[edit] Pikachu's Summer Festival /Pikachu's Ghost Carnival
Are those two shorts the min-movie for movie 7 and 8??
- Pikachu's Summer Festival
- Pikachu's Ghost Carnival
-
- Yes, though they weren't officially the mini-movies as they were shown on planes, rather than in the cinema before the main feature. Sonic Mew | talk to me 10:38, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Casey
Haven't you ever heard of Casey? She got an episode all to herself in Pokémon Chronicles. In fact, there is a picture of her with Misty in that article. Sonic Mew | talk to me 20:45, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
- But that doesn't mean that Casey and the bat has anything to do with pokemon. It's like saying:
- ...Did you know that Ash is the name of a tree?
- A bit silly, no? Please explain further. --Celestianpower hablamé 20:51, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
- It's about name origin, though. I don't know how 4Kids chose Ash's name, but it is too much of a coincidence for Casey's name. Sonic Mew | talk to me 20:59, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Celestianpower is an admin
Thank you very much for your support - my bid (as you probably know) went swimmingly. I couldn't have asked for a better one. Thank you very much and I just hope I don't mess up! Even though I know you, your vote still counts for a lot in my book. --Celestianpower hablamé 13:17, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

In England what episode are you on?
May you tell my if Shaking Island Battle! Barboach vs. Whiscash will air?? (Unsigned question by 207.200.24.241 (talk • contribs))
- We are at the same point as America, but the Mossdeep City and Drake episodes will air here this week. We don't know if Shaking Island Battle! Barboach vs. Whiscash! will air yet, but we should do by the end of next week. Sonic Mew | talk to me 13:38, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Wang Kon.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wang Kon.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Komdori 14:42, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
