Sonshine Festival

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sonshine Festival is a Christian music festival held in Willmar, Minnesota every year, usually centred around July 15. It spans three days and features some of the most popular Christian rock music bands in the United States. The year 2006 is the 25th anniversary of Sonshine Festival.

The Sonshine Festival has four stages -- main stage, stage two, HM stage and debut stage, as well as a showmobile.

Entry fees to the festival provide camping facilities in "tent city" for all attendees.

The 2006 lineup featured popular Christian artists:

The weather proved to be an issue, as high winds and rains took down the lights of the main stage on Thursday. This caused Newsboys, and Kutless to lose their ability to play. Friday and Saturday, conversely, were incredibly hot and temperatures ranged between an estimated 95-105 °F. These temperatures prove that on the 25th anniversary, Sonshine knew how to do it right.
