Sonnet L'Abbé

Sonnet L'Abbé (born Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian poet.
L'Abbé received a BFA in film and video from York University, and completed a Master's degree in English literature from the University of Guelph. She taught for two years at universities in South Korea, and now works at the University of Toronto. She is also a script reader, a regular reviewer for The Globe and Mail and Canadian Literature, and an occasional contributor to CBC Radio One.
Her work has appeared in a number of literary journals and several anthologies including Open Field: 30 Contemporary Canadian Poets and Red Silk: An Anthology of South Asian Canadian Women Poets.
L'Abbé is multiracial; her father is Franco-Ontarian and her mother is Guyanese of South Asian mixed descent.
