Sonia Romanenko is a fictional character from the tag team fighting game Rage of the Dragons.

[edit] History

Sonia comes from a wealthy family with deep roots in Russia. She is an only daughter, and was raised in constant luxury despite the severe crisis in the country. Her life had a shocking turn when her father, a Russian general, was murdered because of political fights and her mother disappeared. With nobody to look after her, Sonia was quickly absorbed by the turmoil of crisis in the country, and later found herself as an assassin under the orders of a former partner of her father.

After several years of training, she turned into a cold killing machine. She later discovered that her father's death was planned by the man she served for several years and found the reality behind the works she had done before: they were sometimes just innocent people that were in the ambitious way of her boss. After failing the assassination of her own boss, she fled from the country.

To gain money, she joined the Black Dragon sect because she knew the head behind the sect: a rich and powerful man, with whom she had a torrid romance with. Later, while out on a job, she met Jimmy. The first impression of the young fighter left her breathless and fell in love; all of this after having a fight with him. After this, members from the sect tried to kill her. While following Jimmy, she realises that soon, both will be in Sunshine City, and the time to settle business with her former boss is close.

[edit] Trivia

She somewhat resembles Ivy Valentine from Soul Calibur and Angel from KOF
