This is a song by the Dave Matthews Band and is recorded on the album Remember Two Things.
The songs lyrics refer to Dave Matthews and his early theatre work in Charlottesville. The song is obviously named for Dave Matthews ' sister Jane. This is also the first song to be considered a Dave Matthews Band song. This song was originally recorded by Dave's former band Tribe of Heaven on their album Imagine We Were.
Dave, often before he or the band plays the song live, will begin with something along the lines of "I've got a sister named Jane and this is the song that she likes."
