"The Son of a Gypsy" is a first-season segment of The Monkees television series. It first aired on NBC December 26, 1966 as the 16th episode of the series and repeated June 12, 1967, and was further rerun on CBS January 31 and August 8, 1970, and August 24, 1972.

A band of gypsies kidnap Peter and force Micky, Michael and David to steal a valuable sculpture, the Maltese Vulture, in order to ransom him. Director James Frawley cameoes as a Yugoslavic guest at the party.
