Son of Dork is a UK pop rock band formed by James Bourne after Busted split in January 2005. They released their debut single "Ticket Outta Loserville", which James Bourne wrote 2 weeks after Busted split up, in November 2005. It reached #3 on the UK Top 75. Their next single was "Eddie's Song". It reached #10 on the UK Top 75 in January 2006. The song recorded for the soundtrack of Ant and Dec's film debut Alien Autopsy titled "We're Not Alone" was due to be Son of Dork's 3rd single and possibly be a double a-side with "Sick", but was scrapped for unknown reasons. "We're Not Alone" is available on the Alien Autopsy soundtrack album and is also featured on the end credits of the film. They played in a celebrity charity football match "Soccer Six" in late May 2006.
Their record company, Mercury, has said they cannot release until February 2007 due to lack of release material. The new album Lights Out will be released in 2007. They are set to tour in February 2007 with Bowling for Soup, Wheatus and Army of Freshmen on the Get Happy Tour.
