I'm currently working on a script intended to create short articles on political parties on a variety of wikipedias simultaneously. However, in order for the technique to work I need help with translations to various languages. If you know Hungarian, please help by filling in the blanks. Do not translate the italic parts (X-party, X-country, etc.). If you disagree with the translation provided by another editor, please motivate your change on the talk page.

[edit] X-party is a political party in X-country.

X party egy politikai párt X-countryban.

note: this sentence will be completely untranslatable to Hungarian with a bot, since the suffix meaning "in" is different after words with high vowels (e, i) and low vowels (a, o, u), thus it is "Londonban" (in London) but "Berlinben" (in Berlin). See vowel harmony, a characteristic of Hungarian. (If it is a mixed word with both high and low vowels, the last one counts.) Also, if the country name ends in a vowel, it gets a cute little diacritic mark over it (India --> Indiában). Moreover, not all countries have the -ban, -ben suffix, some of them get the -n suffix (with a vowel added to make pronunciation easier; the vowel depends on whether the vowels in the word are high or low); e.g.: Új-Zéland --> Új-Zélandon ("in New Zealand"). Also, some countries need an article in front of their names, while the majority of them don't.

I'm not trying to scare you away. I swear. :)

(after some thinking): maybe you could use the form "X party is a political party of X country" (X party X-country egyik politikai pártja). Then the country name doesn't have to be suffixed.

[edit] X-party was a political party in X-country.

X party egy politikai párt volt X-countryban.

(See above.)

[edit] communist party

[edit] The party was founded in 2005.

A pártot 2005-ben alapították.

note: if the year ends in 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, then the suffix is -ben, but if it ends in 3, 6, 8, it is -ban. if the two last digits are 10, 40, 50, 70, 90, the suffix is -ben, if it's 20, 30, 60, 80, then it's -ban. if the year ends in a 00, the suffix is -ban, except for 2000 (and other years dividable with 1000), when it's -ben.

(still not giving up? ;-)
