[edit] Major Reconstruction

I just completed the first phase of a reconstructed wikipedia article for the Somerset Collection. I hope you like it! It needs some rewriting throughout to make it more understandable though. Also: the in-text wiki article links need to be added in the new texts, as I am not good at that. Please post here any suggestions and anything else you'd like to say about it!

Do you think a directory should be added? I updated the grand court image to a high resolution image I acquired from an employee at somerset online. If someone could try to update the others to more high res versions, that would be great! There are better skywalk images out there, if someone would change that too (a high res version would be best) that would be cool too!!

Nah, mall directories change all the time... Also, there's some more historical information missing. One of the anchors used to be Bonwit Teller, I forget which one.

Bonwit Teller and Saks were the two department stores in the 70s and 80s. Neiman Marcus replaced Bonwit Teller within a few years of 1990. Don't know where to get documentation, though. mp2dtw 04:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

User:TenPoundHammer forgivve me if I didn't add my comments right

Somerset North in 1992??? I wasn't living in Michigan at the time. Being the dedicated shopper that I am, not only was I in Michigan when Somerset North opened, but I took the work-day off. It had to have been 1996 or 1997. I hadn't moved back until Fall 1995.mp2dtw 04:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

You are correct, I don't know why I put 1992. That was when the south expansion happened. Thanks for fixing that. About Bonwit Teller, that would be great if you could find more out about it and add it to the article. If you can't find any information, you can always email the somerset collection, the contact form is on their website. --Joe 16:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Adverstisement

Wow, this page reads like a total advertisement. Especially the last two sections. 68.42.213.177 02:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree. This needs to be addressed. GR 02:29, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I cut a lot of the advertising aspects of the articles. I agree, it was a bit much. Joe 03:02, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official Neutrality Complaint

I have placed the NPOV and the noncompliance tags onto this wiki page, because it completely violates wikipedia rules. It's in 3rd person, feels copied, is an advertisement, and is not factual. This article cannot stand as is. If it isn't fixed, it has to be deleted. --Mystalic 02:44, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I edited the articles to be in 3rd person and cut out opinions. If you could recheck the article for any other errors that would be great. Joe 03:02, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Updated and expanded the history and deleted the whole bridal registry information. This really did sound like someone cut and paste this off of a brochure. So does the attributes section. Feel free to hack it all up and reverse it, but the history section has been fleshed out somewhat. Jeff 11:02, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Rechecked. It complies well enough. --Mystalic 04:09, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
