"Something in Common" is a song by husband and wife R&B stars Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston. It was their first (and to date) only collaboration released as a single. The song was written by Houston, and examines two unlikely people coming together as they found "something in common". The video features Brown and Houston on rooftops singing the song.
Predicted that the song wouldn't do well in the United States, it was decided to test the popularity of the song in the United Kingdom first, where both had established large fanbases. The single reached sixteen on the chart, but stayed in the chart for only three weeks. It was not released commercially in the U.S. but did reach #32 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart as a cut from Brown's album Remixes In The Key Of B.
